If tickets to an event are not on sale yet, how can re-sell sites such as “StubHub.com” already have tickets for sale at inflated prices?

Resale sites often claim to have tickets before the public on sale. You may notice that no section, row or seat numbers are mentioned because their agents have been unable to purchase at that point.

We strongly discourage our fans from purchasing on any third party website, and urge you to buy directly from the Tribute Communities Centre website, call centre number, or in person at the Tribute Communities Centre Ticket Office.

Fraudulent tickets presented at an event as the result of a third party purchase will not be honoured, and no compensation will be given.

What is the convenience fee? Do I have to pay it if I purchase tickets at the Box Office?

Convenience fees are payable on each ticket and cover the operational costs to our ticketing company Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement.

Convenience fees are ALWAYS applicable on ALL sales via online and by phone, but depending upon the promoter, and the set up of the event, may not always apply to ticket office sales.

It is advantageous to purchase your tickets in person at the box office as the fees will ALWAYS be less than other methods of purchasing.

Tickets to an event went on sale at 10:00am. I was online at 10:01 and the best available tickets were in the upper level, but 5 hours later I was able to get floor tickets. How does that happen? Can I exchange these for floor tickets?

When an event goes on sale, all customers are essentially competing for available inventory; purchasers online, who phone the call centre, and those who line up at the Tribute Communities Centre Ticket Office.

Customers purchasing tickets online can keep items in their “shopping cart” and then decide not to purchase them, which would release those tickets for sale. The promoter of the event may also decide to open up additional inventory at any given time.

Ticket refunds and exchanges are not permitted.

I bought tickets to an event at your building, but I need an accessible seat. Can I exchange my seat? Can my partner and child sit with me?

Please contact the Ticket Office directly at 905-438-8811 with questions or concerns regarding accessible seating. We will accommodate patrons to the best of our ability, as availability varies from event to event.

For most events, when purchasing in the accessible sections, patrons will be limited to purchasing one Accessible Seat plus one Companion seat.

I purchased tickets to an upcoming event but recently found out I won’t be able to attend. Can I receive a refund for my tickets?

All sales are final. Ticket refunds and exchanges are not permitted.

Account holders only may request a name change for certain events. There is a cost of $5.00 per name change to any account. This charge must be paid by the original purchaser at the time of the name change through the ticket office.

What age does my child have to be to require a ticket?

For most Tribute Communities Centre events, a child under two does not require a ticket as long as s/he sits on an adult’s lap. This may change from event to event, please contact the Ticket Office at 905-438-8811 with questions.

How can I find out if an event is sold out?

If you are having difficulty obtaining the required number of tickets or any tickets at all for your desired event, it is most likely that there are no available tickets at the present time. Fans are welcome to call the Ticket Office at 905-438-8811 to check for availability, but please note the Ticket Office does not take phone orders.

We encourage fans to continue checking back, in case any tickets become available.

I am planning to bring a large group to a Tribute Communities Centre event. Can I get a group discount on tickets?

There are no more tickets available, can I purchase them through an alternative outlet? Or, I no longer need my tickets, can I sell them?

Spectra at the Tribute Communities Centre does not support the practice of ticket re-selling or ticket speculation (more commonly known as scalping) for any of our events. The only secure and verifiable way to purchase tickets to one of our events is through our ticketing systems and approved agents.

Tickets can be purchased at any of the following official ticketing outlets for the Tribute Communities Centre:

  • Tribute Communities Centre Ticket Office (located inside Gate 1 at the venue)
  • By phone at 1-877-436-8811
  • Online at www.tributecommunitiescentre.com
(Our ticketing site is linked through our website which will direct you to the URL address field of ev12.evenue.net/….)
  • Other approved agents
(Certain Live Nation shows have Ticketmaster sell their VIP Packages)
  • Discount Employee Programs or Concierge Services

BUYER BEWARE

  • We do not admit tickets known to have been purchased at a price higher than face value.
  • We will not verify tickets to ensure they are real or fake until the night of the event when the patron attempts to scan through the gate.
  • We will not compensate a patron who shows up with a re-sold voided or reproduced ticket. Re-sellers can still be selling tickets if they have been voided (this includes photocopied versions of print-at-home tickets).
  • We will void all tickets known to be re-sold at a price higher than face value and no compensation will be given.
  • We will cooperate with law enforcement and may turn any and all contact information over to police services.

Please note, if you use a search engine to type in ‘Tribute Communities Centre,’ ‘TC Centre,’ ‘TCCentre’ or any other form used, be aware of the link you are clicking on. Search engines such as Google have ads located above the true search results which are typically purchased by re-selling companies and are not official ticketing outlets for the Tribute Communities Centre.

For an example, see below.
The advertisement purchased by a re-seller is circled in red to locate easily for this example. To better understand an advertisement in your search results, it will be highlighted in yellow on your browser. Unless the green link shown is www.generalmotorscentre.com, it is not an official ticketing outlet for the General Motors Centre and was purchased by a re-seller. The true search results are located below in which you can see the true link to our website for information and purchasing.

Directly from the Ministry of Consumer Services website:

  • Ontario law prohibits the sale of tickets at a price higher than that at which they were first issued.
  • It is illegal to purchase tickets with the intention of reselling them at a profit
  • Ontario law also prohibits buying tickets for more than the advertised price.  Ticket sales are also governed by the Consumer Protection Act, 2002.

I have lost my ticket or my ticket has been stolen. Can I get my ticket reprinted?

The Ticket Office will reprint tickets at a cost of $5.00 per reprint order. The tickets will be available for pick up only on the day of the event, and will only be released to the account holder after presenting valid photo ID and the credit card used to make the original purchase. Tickets purchased from a third-party site cannot be reprinted.

What are Platinum Seats?

Platinum Seats are premium tickets to concerts and other events made available by artists and event providers through tributecommunitiescentre.com. They give fans fair and safe access to some of the best seats in the house.

Are Platinum Seats resale tickets?

No. Platinum Seats were not purchased initially and then posted for resale; they are being sold for the first time through tributecommunitiescentre.com. Platinum Seats enables market-based pricing (adjusting prices according to supply and demand) for live event tickets, similar to how airline tickets and hotel rooms are sold. The goal is to give the most passionate fans fair and safe access to the best tickets, while enabling artists and other people involved in staging live events to price tickets closer to their true value.

Why can't I buy Platinum Seats for certain events?

Currently, Platinum Seats are not available for all events. Be sure to check back often as new events are continually being added.
