JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • The Senior Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for the overall management and day to day running of the Kitchen BOH (Back of House) operations. From hiring and training the kitchen team, ordering F&B supplies preparing food for service, maintaining a high level of food quality, and value to our guests and fans.
  • Oversee the daily operations of our establishment’s culinary department
  • Supervise kitchen employees and organize food orders
  • Maintain and improve standards to provide total Guest satisfaction, ensuring they meet the high standards required including appearance, quality and temperature
  • Ensure that level of quality, portion control, and plate presentation is adhered to consistently
  • Keeping over production of food and waste to a minimum, ensuring proper rotation, labelling and storing of all food products
  • Read and follow recipes and menu specifications
  • Recruit and train kitchen employees in designated stations and help Schedule work shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 years management experience in a comparable restaurant environment
  • Post-secondary education in culinary, hospitality and/or business related field a must
  • Culinary Red Seal designation Certification is strong asset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of computers and restaurant inventory programs

Restaurant Server/Bartender - Prospects Bar and Grill - Part Time

TITLE:                               Restaurant Server / Bartender

REPORTS TO:                  Restaurant Manager / Restaurant Supervisor

DEPARTMENT:                 Food and Beverage​

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Greet and assist guests at the restaurant, perform service checks to ensure quality of service and product.
  • Responsible for serving food products to guests in the venue during events.
  • Responsible for serving beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages. Must check guest’s ID to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
  • Responsible for recording a guest’s order and relaying the order to the kitchen via P.O.S. system or other.
  • Responsible for observing guests to respond to any additional requests.
  • Responsible for computing the cost of the meal and presenting the guest with the check. Accept payments and provide change as necessary.
  • Recommends certain menu items and identifies ingredients or explains how various items on the menu are prepared.
  • Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
  • Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
  • Must be able to perform and complete tasks as required by the management team​

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-2 year’s experience as a server/bartender with experience working in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
  • Solid understanding and practical knowledge of restaurant business principles and service etiquette

Restaurant Hostess - Prospects Bar and Grill - Part Time

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for keeping the Host and entrance area clean.
  • Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile.
  • Manage table assignment and reservations including wait lists.
  • Ensuring a smooth flow and distribution of guest reservations.
  • Responsible to inform guests regarding waiting time.
  • Escort and seat guests to designated dining table according to their reservations.
  • Provide restaurant menus and daily specials to the guests.

  • Assist bartenders and servers by delivering food and beverage orders to customer’s table rapidly and accurately.

JOB FUNTIONS:

  • Work in a fast, safe and efficient manner especially during service times so as to achieve consistently high food quality in a productive and cost effective environment
  • Comply with kitchen procedures, recipe and prep sheets, cleaning schedules and all other duties required to work in an efficient kitchen
  • Maintain efficient stock controlling methods for all kitchen-related products, specifically towards maintaining shelf  life, stock rotating to avoid wastage and spoilage
  • Maintain all food items at the approved temperature to prevent contamination or health risks

Quick Service Supervisor - Part Time

TITLE:                               Quick Service Supervisor

REPORTS TO:                  Quick Service Manager

DEPARTMENT:                 Food and Beverage​

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • The QS Supervisor will oversee a team of 10+ unionized employees
  • The QS Supervisor will oversee all areas within the Quick Service department: Concessions, Vending, In-seat and Catering
  • Coach and motivate staff during games, events and day to day operation
  • Strictly ensure responsible alcohol service using Smart Serve principles
  • Ensure AGCO, Occupational Health & Safety Act and Food Safety are followed as required
  • Supervise and direct the prompt, efficient and friendly serving of all Food and Beverage
  • Work quickly and independently to resolve operational issues when necessary, ensuring proper follow up with QS Manager and Food and Beverage Director
  • Assist in Control of inventory and Labor within all Quick Service department locations
  • Participate in all fields of administrative work including but not limited to: creating schedules, create par levels for concessions/warehouse, input employee payroll & submit according to deadline, menu development, opening/closing duties, cleaning checklists, tracking sales, and maintenance logs

Housekeeping Staff - Part Time

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for the cleanliness of all common areas, meeting rooms and dressing rooms within the facility
  • Ability to read, understand and follow all WHIMS guidelines
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently during and after Events, exceeding the clients cleaning needs
  • Ensure work areas and equipment are clean and organized at all times
  • Work diligently to ensure the safety of self and others at all times
  • Adhere to Spectra Venue Management service standards and policies

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Available to work overnight shifts, weekends and holidays with some flexibility for late afternoon shifts
  • Previous experience in Housekeeping and the use of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, auto-scrubbers and swing machines
  • Ability to work while under pressure; meet tight deadlines
  • Must be able to bend, stretch and move, in repetitive motions
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Shift Operator - Part Time

TITLE:                         Shift Operator – Part Time

 

REPORTS TO:           Operations Manager/Director of Operations

 

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Safely operate an ice resurfacer and perform any/all related duties necessary for the safe operation of all equipment
  • Maintain an excellent level of ice quality for all user groups and perform any daily assigned ice maintenance and/or maintenance tasking
  • Understand and maintain records and logbooks related to refrigeration plant
  • Minor repairs to drywall, painting, plumbing, doors and locks, etc.
  • Climb stairs and lift 75 lbs. unaided
  • Responsible for opening and closing of the facility including arming and disarming the alarm system
  • Perform security checks as needed including closing lock up/security    procedures
  • Good knowledge of and safely operate, any hand and power tools
  • Safely use cleaning chemicals and perform cleaning duties as assigned
  • Perform other duties and tasking as assigned by the Director of Operations and/or Operations Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience operating an ice resurfacer is an asset
  • Ability to work days, overnights, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Handle multiple tasks at one time and meet deadlines
  • Must have demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
  • Forklift Certification is desired
