Spectra strives to provide guests with disabilities the same opportunities to access the Tribute Communities Centre as others while allowing them to benefit from the same services. If you have any questions or needs not addressed below, or if you require any information on our website in an alternate accessible format, please contact our Accessibility Coordinator, Gail Smith at 905-448-1574 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
How to Purchase Accessible Tickets
To purchase accessible seating, visit the Tribute Communities Centre Ticket Office, purchase online at tributecommunitiescentre.com, call 905-448-1574 or email email@example.com.
Notice of special needs must be addressed at time of purchase so that we may best accommodate you. All accessible seats are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests who arrive to an event and need accessible seating, but did not purchase tickets in an accessible area, will be accommodated to the best of our ability.
All fans entering our venue, including those acting as a support person for patrons with a disability, are required to hold a valid ticket. Tickets are subject to standard event pricing.
Arriving at the venue
Designated accessible parking is available for any guest with a valid accessibility permit on Red Tilson Lane which is located on the West side of the venue and can be entered from Bruce Street. These spaces are first-come, first-served and subject to all applicable City of Oshawa accessible parking rules and/or restrictions. Parking of any kind is not permitted in the roundabout at the top of Red Tilson Lane as it is utilized as a drop off area for those with accessible needs.
There are also accessible parking spaces on Bruce Street, Charles Street and Athol Street East surrounding the venue.
Entrances and Elevators
Both Gate 1 and Gate 2 entrances at the Tribute Communities Centre are designated accessible as they are reachable from street level and have direct access to an elevator. Should you require access to the floor level for a live event, entrances may be restricted on a per-event basis. If you have questions in regards to which gate is best to enter based on your seating location, please contact our Accessibility Coordinator, Gail Smith at 905-448-1574 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

BlindSquare beacons have been installed in the Tribute Communities Centre which enables users who are visually impaired to better navigate within the venue. The app describes the surrounding environment and announces points of interest such as entrances, exits and washrooms. The free BlindSquare Event app is available in multiple languages for iPhone users through Apple’s App Store.

All service animals are welcome at the Tribute Communities Centre but must remain on a leash or harness at all times. Please have your animal clearly marked upon arrival and ensure you have valid documentation with you. Please notify your ticket seller at time of purchase if an aisle seat is required for your service animal.
Some events may include special effects such as smoke, haze, pyrotechnics and flashing and strobe lighting.
All washroom facilities at the Tribute Communities Centre are wheelchair accessible. In addition, two Universal Washrooms are located on the main concourse and two are on the suite level and accommodate all guests including guests with accessible needs.
These Universal Washrooms have additional features including an emergency call system that consists of audible and visual signal devices inside and outside of the washroom that are activated by the control device located next to the toilet in case of emergency as well as a door that is capable of being locked from the inside and released from the outside in case of emergency. These Universal Washrooms also serve families with small children who need assistance and have baby change tables in each.
As a courtesy, a limited number of complimentary wheelchairs are available at all performances to assist fans to and from their seating areas. Wheelchair assistance is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the limited number of wheelchairs available, they may not be borrowed or rented as seating during an event. If wheelchair assistance is necessary during an event, please notify the nearest staff member or prearrange with our Accessibility Coordinator. Guests are required to supply a piece of valid photo ID should their companion be escorting them without a member of the building present.
