Event Details
Oak View Group, operators of the Tribute Communities Centre, announce the return of Touch-a-Truck. Oshawa Power presents this year's 12th annual Touch-a-Truck event which will be on Friday, August 21, 2026 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Durham and Northumberland. This free community event will be hosted outside and around the Tribute Communities Centre and is a fun, hands-on event that allows children of all ages to get up close and personal with more than 40 vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Children will love the interactive displays and the opportunity to learn about vehicles from the drivers.
“Touch-a-Truck is a unique community event that gives children and families the chance to learn, explore, and make memories together,” said William Balfour, Assistant General Manager of Tribute Communities Centre. “The continued support from our vehicle and community partners has been critical to the success of this event, which has raised close to $42,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Durham and Northumberland since its inception. We’re excited to welcome families back for another evening of fun, discovery, community, and giving back.”
While admission to the event is complimentary for all community members, Oak View Group encourages attendees to contribute whatever they can to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Durham and Northumberland at one of their booths. Guests can also indulge their taste buds with our charity BBQ, as we gather to make a difference. While Touch-a-Truck offers free entry, certain activities, such as face painting and the BBQ, will have costs.
Vehicle and community partners for this year’s event are listed below.
Don't forget Kars on King is also happening on Friday, August 21, in downtown Oshawa!
