The Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa experienced a fairytale-like weekend from February 15-20, 2024, hosting a total of 10 events that captivated audiences and brought the community together.

The highlight of the weekend was Oshawa’s debut of eight enchanting performances of Disney On Ice, which saw multiple sold-out shows and delighted audiences of all ages with its magical storytelling and breathtaking ice-skating performances. In addition, the Oshawa Generals secured a win against Niagara 6-0, with one of the highest attended home games this season while the highly anticipated City and Colour concert closed off the successful run with another sold out crowd last night.

In total, over 33,400 attendees flocked to the Tribute Communities Centre over the course of the six days, showcasing the venue's ability to attract and entertain a wide range of audiences with its dynamic lineup of events.

Vince Vella, General Manager of Oak View Group at the Tribute Communities Centre, expressed his pride and gratitude, stating, "What a great start to the year and we are so happy to have been able to provide such a diverse and quality lineup of events this family day weekend for our community to enjoy. I couldn’t be prouder of our Oak View Group team here at the Tribute Communities Centre who worked tirelessly throughout this entire run to seamlessly make the magic happen."

Today’s earlier announcement of Ice Cube coming to Oshawa on May 9, 2024 adds to the already impressive roster of events, including The Harlem Globetrotters, Queens of the Stone Age, Gerry Dee, Cole Swindell, and Lainey Wilson, setting the stage for a robust calendar of events in 2024, with more to come.
