OAK VIEW GROUP RAISES OVER $4,800 IN CHARITY MEMORABILIA AUCTION TO SUPPORT OSHAWA NON-PROFITS
Following the close of its most recent online memorabilia auction, Oak View Group (OVG), the operator of the Tribute Communities Centre, is pleased to announce that a total of $4,878.09 in net proceeds has been raised and will be donated directly to four community-focused charities in Oshawa.
The auction, which ran from June 27 to July 18, featured exclusive, autographed memorabilia from iconic performers, NHL legends, and Olympians, all of whom previously played or appeared at the Tribute Communities Centre. The fundraising initiative follows OVG’s earlier success, which brought in $4,997.20 through guitar auctions, bringing the total amount raised through their auction program to $9,875.29.
“The support from the community, fans, and collectors was incredible,” said William Balfour, Assistant General Manager at the Tribute Communities Centre. “Thanks to the generosity of our bidders and the artists and athletes who lent their names and signatures to these one-of-a-kind items, we’re thrilled to help fund programs that directly impact the people of Oshawa and Durham Region.”
